About EQ4Kids
At EQ4KIDS we learned that there is a great need in schools for a curriculum in emotional intelligence skills, and decided to develop the EQ4KIDS program. Through this program, children can be equipped with emotional intelligence skills from as young as possible, learning to recognise, understand, label, express and regulate their emotions.
Did you know that IQ only contributes about 21% to a person's success in life? The rest depends on emotional intelligence. That's why we believe developing EQ from an early age matters just as much as academic learning, and why we built a programme around it.
EQ4Kids (Pty) Ltd was registered in 2015, and forms part of Seeds of Inspiration, alongside our founders' other personal development work. Today, EQ4Kids is delivered by franchises across all nine South African provinces and Namibia, in both English and Afrikaans, to children from pre-school through to matric.

Mission
EQ4Kids develops emotional intelligence among children from a very young age, through our unique curriculum focusing on the four colour temperaments.
Vision
To help children develop their emotional intelligence through the establishment of franchises that teach the EQ4Kids curriculum in schools and private classes, first in South Africa and then across the world.
Values
We strive for a spirit of excellence in all that we do. We treat each other, the parents, school personnel and children with respect and empathy. We persevere against all odds to make a positive impact in as many children's lives as possible.
Our Directors
EQ4Kids is directed by Lynette Beer and Antoinette Steyn, both well-known South African motivational speakers who are also available to schools for presentations and workshops on themes such as bullying and conflict resolution.
Lynette Beer
Motivational Speaker, Author, Director
Lynette Beer is one of South Africa's most inspirational motivational speakers, having presented talks around the globe, including an international speaking engagement held in Times Square, New York, and in London. She is renowned for her Four Colour Temperament Model, the framework behind EQ4Kids' Personality Assessment, and has worked with organisations including North-West University, Sanlam, First National Bank and Standard Bank. Lynette was named Presidential Businesswoman of the Year in 2016 by the South African Council for Businesswoman, and served as their National Patron in 2018.
Antoinette Steyn
Motivational Speaker, Author, Director
Antoinette Steyn co-authored "Pret met Persoonlikhede," EQ4Kids' children's personality book, alongside Lynette, and writes regularly for the EQ4Kids blog. Like Lynette, she is a well-known motivational speaker, available to schools for presentations and workshops on themes such as bullying and conflict resolution.

What We Offer
- Workshops tailored across four school phases, Grade 1 to 3, Grade 4 to 7, Grade 8 to 9, and Grade 10 to 12, covering self-awareness, resilience, empathy and managing emotions, available in English and Afrikaans
- EQ 4 Leadership workshops, helping children and the parents raising them understand the role emotional intelligence plays in leadership
- Anti-Bullying workshops , for pre-school, primary school and high school children, as well as training for parents and educators
- Ewe Oulik Kleuterskool , an EQ4Kids initiative, an Afrikaans pre-school built on a Christian-faith foundation, working daily with young children through an emotional intelligence development programme unique to the school
- A franchise network across all nine provinces and Namibia, giving passionate individuals the chance to bring EQ4Kids to their own communities
